Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 21, 2026

BuildBoard is a local-first desktop app. It collects no data, makes no network calls, and keeps everything you create on your own Mac.

What we collect

Nothing. No personal data, no analytics, no telemetry, no crash reports. There are no accounts and no sign-in.

Where your data lives

Everything you create — projects, PRDs, mocks, tech specs, business plans, and branding — is stored as ordinary files on your own computer, inside a workspace folder you control. BuildBoard reads and writes only that workspace and any source repository you explicitly link through the system folder picker. It accesses no other part of your filesystem.

Network

BuildBoard makes no outbound network connections. It ships with no advertising or analytics SDKs, and its macOS App Sandbox entitlements do not include network access — so the app is technically incapable of transmitting your data.

Third parties

Because BuildBoard transmits nothing, there is nothing to share, sell, or trade — we never have your data to begin with. App distribution and updates are handled by Apple through the Mac App Store, subject to Apple's Privacy Policy.

Children's privacy

BuildBoard collects no data from anyone, including children under 13.
