BuildBoard is a local-first planning app for building with AI agents on your Mac. Everything you create is stored as ordinary files on your own computer. If you run into trouble or have a question, we're happy to help.
We aim to reply within a couple of business days.
Frequently asked questions
Where is my work stored?
Everything — projects, PRDs, mocks, tech specs, business plans, and branding — lives as
ordinary files inside a workspace folder you choose on your own Mac. Nothing is uploaded to
a server. To back up or move your work, just copy that folder.
Does BuildBoard need an account or internet connection?
No. There are no accounts and no sign-in, and the app makes no outbound network connections.
It works fully offline.
How do I pick or change my workspace folder?
BuildBoard reads and writes only the workspace folder you select through the system folder
picker (and any source repository you explicitly link the same way). You can point it at a
different folder at any time.
The app won't open, or something isn't working.
First, make sure you're on the latest version from the Mac App Store and that your macOS is
up to date. If the problem persists, email us with your macOS version, your BuildBoard
version, and a short description of what happened — screenshots help.
How is my privacy handled?
BuildBoard collects no data, no analytics, and no telemetry. See the
Privacy Policy for full details.
